Galilee Institute was pleased to renew the MOU with the Council of Governors (CoG)to further strengthen cooperation, as part of the ongoing alliance between Israel and Kenya.

Dr. Joseph Shevel, GIMI's President met the Chairman of CoG, H.E. Hon. Josphat K. Nanok, Governor of Turkana Country, in Nairobi to sign this important MOU.

This agreement is an opportunity for each county government to invest in capacity building of its management and staff and will go far in improving public service delivery in different sectors.

It was agreed that GIMI shall grant 20 tuition scholarships, per county, per year, to each of the 47 County Governments. The scholarships are applicable to GIMI's training programmes that are held in Israel twice a year, upon participant acceptance and completion of application. Upon the participants' return to Kenya, GIMI will deliver on-site guidance and mentoring programmes. These will be tailor-made to the specific needs of each county, to assist in implementing what was learned in Israel.
