GIMI's Centre for Agriculture and Water delivered four tailor-made programmes that were especially timed to include a visit to the world renowned Agritech Israel, 2018 (International Agricultural Technology Exhibition). Included among the participants were the Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker of Uganda, Representatives of the World Bank and senior representatives of the Governments of Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Lesotho. GIMI President Dr. Joseph Shevel held a reception in their honour at GIMI's Head Office in Nahalal. During the reception GIMI and the Malawi Northern Region Water Board signed an MOA scholarship agreement. Mr. Brighton Litula, Counsellor from the Embassy of Zambia also attended the event.
