To mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the PRC and the State of Israel, Dr. Joseph Shevel, President Galilee International Management Institute, was invited by His Excellency Zhan Yongxin, the Chinese Ambassador to Israel to deliver a speech at the Symposium.

Aaron Ciechanover, the 2004 Nobel Laureate and Major General (Ret.) Matan Vilnai, the former Israeli Ambassador to China, were also took part. The main topics discussed were development trends in global science and technology; the achievements of China-Israel Innovation Cooperation in various fields and further suggestions for China-Israel cooperation in the future.
Dr. Joseph Shevel said that he was delighted that GIMI is so highly valued by the Chinese Embassy in Israel. As the only Israeli training institution nominated by the Chinese SAFEA, the institute will continue to deliver high quality training courses for Chinese government officials and corporate executives and is looking forward to cooperating with China in different sectors. GIMI will also contribute more in technological exchanges and scientific and technological innovations to promote the friendship between Israel and China.
