22/11/2016 | Collaboration between GIMI and PAHO

The collaboration between Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) and Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) warmly continues, with a visit from Mr. Jose Iran Costa Junior, Secretary of Health in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil and his wife Mrs. Ana Carolina Brigido Xavier Oliveira Costa.

Over the past decade PAHO Human Resources for Health unit has worked with GIMI via PAHO’s Fellowship Programme. The goal for further collaboration between PAHO and GIMI is to build leadership capacity and strengthen governance in Inter-Sectoral Collaboration on the country and provincial levels, as a means to achieve Universal Health.
The state of Pernambuco, Brazil has been identified for the pilot project, their recent experience with the Zika outbreak underscores the need for inter-sectoral collaboration.
