An agreement was signed between the Chinese Government and Galilee International Management Institute, earlier this March.
Vice Minister, Mr. Zhang Jianguo, from the Ministry of Human Resources Management and Social Security in Beijing, came to Galilee International Management Institute in Nahalal, with a delegation of Chinese Government officials from the organisation, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), to sign a five year cooperation agreement. The delegation was part of a group of officials sent to Israel headed by the Vice President of China, Ms. Liu Yan Dong, who also met with Israel PM Netanyahu and signed a series of agreements.
Mr. Zhang is the Administrator of the CAIEP branch of the Chinese government responsible sending senior government officials overseas for advanced studies. The agreement was signed between GIMI and CAIEP for 5 years, focussing on training programmes on innovations in agriculture.
Over the last 10 years (from 2015) GIMI has trained over 900 Chinese officials.
The new agreement states that approximately 130 Chinese trainees, mainly in the fields of agriculture, water management and technological innovation each year for the five years.
