Sustainable Agribusiness in Era of Climate Change

Sustainable Agribusiness in Era of Climate Change

Introduction

Agribusiness is still of central importance to most of the world’s economies. To effectively contribute to economic growth there must be coordinated links between agribusiness firms, farmers, retailers and others in the supply chain. The challenges are many as changing consumer preferences, fluctuating supply and demand and climate change create new and unpredictable conditions. Additionally, ensuring consumer safety and quality requires strict regulatory controls, including environmental considerations.

As a key player in the global agricultural landscape, Israel benefits from a prosperous agricultural market founded on practical and cost-effective innovations and solutions, rather than natural resources.

This programme focusses on the sustainable methods applied to achieve high yields and food security, while protecting water sources and mitigating land degradation and desertification. This programme also presents innovative methods and technologies for adapting to changing conditions, creating effective links and increasing production. Participants will meet experts in the field, producers, distributors and even innovators. This is an immersion course that takes participants to the heart of the "Israeli agricultural miracle".
